From 25th August to the 25th September, Getty Images Gallery in London will be holding a gallery of work by award-winning photographer Ami Vitale at its London premises, all printed to high quality giclée fine art standards by Chaudigital.
The work, which features stunning images from Kashmir, Angola, Gujarat, Guinea-Bissau and Mauritiana are a collection of awe-inspiring images from Ami's travels to these countries, and living with these countries people on a daily basis.
Originally a picture desk editor working with Getty, Ami realised she would become more capable working as a photojournalist shooting her own assignments. These pictures, taken on a variety of media including 35mm film, transparencies and digital camera files, are the fruits of her travels.
A wide variety of images, each picture in the exhibition tells the story of the trials and tribulations of ordinary people she has come into contact with during her travels. Intense, peverse, humane and touching, the images invoke a variety of emotions through Ami's uncanny eye to take pictures at the precise moment.
